The Community Blood Center was founded in 1955 to fill the need for a reliable, local blood supply. Among the hospital we serve, CBC is the sole blood supply to both Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center in Iron Mountain and OSF HealthCare St. Francis Hospital in Escanaba. That means, when you donate blood with CBC, you’re helping ensure local patients have access to a reliable blood supply from right here in the Midwest.

Where to donate blood

Those looking to donate blood can do so at several locations in the UP, and in Northern Wisconsin at a local blood drive near you. Additionally, we have regular donation opportunities at the Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center.
