Wisconsin

The Community Blood Center is committed to supporting our communities. We are all integral in ensuring local patients have access to the life-saving blood, platelets and plasma needed. And we’re passionate about connecting lives and sharing life.

The Community Blood Center was founded in 1955 to fill the need for a reliable, local blood supply. Among the hospital we serve, we are the sole supplier of all blood, platelets and plasma to more than 40 hospitals throughout the Midwest. That means, when a family member, neighbor or colleague is undergoing cancer treatment, facing surgery or experiencing a trauma, and are being treated at one of the hospitals served by CBC, that blood came directly from this community – possibly even you!

Where to donate blood

We offer a variety of convenient locations for donating blood, including six donor centers and several fixed sites throughout the state. We also have regular donation opportunities at weekly community drives in northern and eastern Wisconsin as well the southside of Chicago.

In addition, we have blood drives that will come to you. We’ve held blood drives at places of worship, businesses, schools, medical practices, music festivals and organized motorcycle rides. When it comes to fulfilling our mission to connect lives and share life, we love to get creative and have fun to support as many patients as possible!
