Ever wonder what happens to your blood or platelets after you donate? All donations are brought back to The Community Blood Center’s (CBC) state-of-the-art laboratory, located inside CBC’s Headquarters in Appleton, Wis. There, all units of blood are tested and prepared for distribution to hospital partners. As the provider of blood to more than 40 hospitals, CBC’s Lab team plays a crucial role in ensuring blood, platelets and plasma are available for patients.

April 23-29 is Medical Laboratory Professionals Week, a week dedicated to celebrating the hardworking, intelligent and brilliant lab professionals, including those at CBC!
