Blood donors can help with blood collection supplies for Ukraine

May 31, 2022

When community members donate blood with The Community Blood Center (CBC) between May 27 and June 12, they’re able to help patients right here at home as well as those in Ukraine. As part of a nationwide effort, CBC is offering assistance in providing blood collection supplies to Ukraine. As the war has continued, Ukraine has experienced shortages in many critical supplies related to blood donation, including blood bags. According to reports, a warehouse with blood collection supplies was destroyed. Many blood centers have also been destroyed.

All healthy and eligible donors are encouraged to schedule a donation between May 27 and June 12 to help support the local blood supply and Ukraine. CBC will donate five dollars for each person who comes to CBC to donate blood, platelets or plasma at donor centers and blood drives. Click on the button below or call (800) 280-4102 to schedule your donation.
