The Community Blood Center is committed to reaching out to young people, and providing them with the information needed to make educated health choices. In our efforts to recruit future blood donors, we need to teach them about the importance of blood donation today.
My Blood, Your Blood is a science education program that explains the blood donation process on a level which children and high school students can understand. The My Blood, Your Blood website can be found at www.mybloodyourblood.org.
Created by team of scientists, physicians, and educators, the program teaches K-12 students about the importance and function of blood, in a fun and interactive way. The curriculum meets National Science Standards and has been endorsed by the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute, and the American Hospital Association.
