Volunteers: Sharing the gift of time

A little of your time can make a lifetime of difference.

When you join the Community Blood Center volunteer team, you're helping to save lives right here in your community!

Working together, dedicated volunteers and skilled professionals assure a safe, reliable blood supply for thousands of patients in Wisconsin, while providing our donors with an extra special personal touch.

A "job" designed around you!

A medical or nursing background isn't necessary.  The only real "job requirements" are a genuine concern for people and a personal desire to help.  You can choose the role that matches your interests, hours that fit your schedule, and even the location that's most convenient.  These are some of the ways you can make a "lifesaving" difference:

  • Welcoming and registering donors at mobile blood drives
  • Serving refreshments in the canteen
  • Transporting blood components to local hospitals
  • Providing hospitality at special blood drive events
  • Making thank you calls to donors

To volunteer, or request more information on becoming a volunteer at Community Blood Center locations or blood drives, contact the volunteer coordinator at 1-800-280-4102, ext. 3001 or e-mail us at cbc@communityblood.org.
