You have plenty of blood to spare. The average adult has about 10-12 pints of blood, only one of which is taken during a donation. Your body makes new blood constantly, so your blood volume will be back to normal in several hours.
There is no substitute for blood. Only the human body can make blood. New donors are very important! Each month, some donors move away from the area, while others become unable to donate. We're always in need of people like you!
Donating blood is a rewarding way to contribute to your community. No amount of money can replace your "gift of life."
